Kayo's first solo show (Nov. 5 to 10, 1999) was held at [ART LABORATORY ROCKET], Omotesando, Tokyo, a site that is famous for launching new artists. There, the walls were hung with a wide selection of Kayo's artwork, and the location was transformed into the World of Kayo Aiba.
